  Zach Braff was on the 6th April 1975 in South Orange, New Jersey born. After graduation, he studied film at Northwestern University.

The shrill comedy Garden State (2005) marked Zach Braff debut as screenwriter and director.

Braff has a fixed role in the television series Scrubs as Dr. John JD Dorian. The series has been running since 2001 in American television.
