Wolfgang Murnberger – biography and filmography

  Wolfgang Murnberger on 13 November 1960 Born in Wiener Neustadt. His father ran a village cinema. Murnberger was studied screenwriting, directing and editing in the directing class Axel Corti at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts.

His cinema debut was in 1990 with Heaven or Hell (1990) – the film on the Austrian Film Festival, in Rotterdam , Tokyo and Saarbrücken excellent.

1994 he wrote and directed the award-winning at the Viennale I pledge (1994). This was followed Attwengerfilm (1994) and the much-vaunted Brenner thrillers Come, Sweet Death (2000) and Silentium (2004), were able to win the Austrian Film Award.
