The Making Of

How is actually a movie? And what happens when a film is formed? What are the neuro-physiological processes within the human perception expire? And is this really all the realities that give us films, particularly so-called “documentaries”? The filmmaker Viola Stephan interviewed many experts in the fields of neurobiology, neuroscience computer science and neurophysiology, and so creates a never scientized picture, but pursues the ideal of the happy sciences. Selbstexperiment see this as valid as scientific observations, however, are never just for themselves but also always the question with a medium of observation: How close can we get on film at all in reality? Is the reality, or what we accept as such, even real? Or they follow laws that are cinematically, to obey the dramatic rules do not?

Logical but associative presented Viola Stephan in The Making of a myriad of materials and is constantly questions, instead of relying on the answers. The result is an amusing essay on the connection between thought, perception and Cinema, Cinema head in the truest sense of the word, suggesting that movie look differently than we did previously: For film is not just entertainment, but the essence of our thinking and feeling, an analogy which brings us finally to ourselves more deeply.
