Summer Palace – Cannes 2006
Difficulties with the Chinese censorship authorities could not prevent the performance of the only Asian competition entry, Summer Palace, at the Cannes Film Festival. The Chinese censors so far refused to release required for an international performance on the grounds that it had submitted a copy of “fuzzy” and the sound “bad”, so that you can not judge the film.
