    The “Route Irish”, from Ken Loach’s new film takes its name, is 12 km long and connects the airport in the Iraqi capital Baghdad with the so-called Green Zone, a single commission heavily guarded area in the city center. In the years after the invasion of Iraq, the road was notorious for the numerous ambushes, which repeatedly claimed many victims. At the “Route Irish” works well as Frankie, a former soldier, a private security service, attracted by the exorbitant fee of 10,000 British pounds a month. In Spetember 2007 Frankie is killed.
