Killshot

Killshot

           Killshot
               Genre: Thriller, Action
Contract killer, marital crisis, witness protection program
In the course of the mighty Mickey Rourke’s comeback, a film from Hollywood’s poison cabinets was flushed, which would be wrong to almost completely disappeared. Several years was the original John Travolta-vehicle pile on until The Wrestler Rourke after a few minor roles again brought into the track. Based on a novel by Elmore Leonard (death train to Yuma, Jackie Brown) John Madden (Shakespeare in Love says, signs of life) the story of a professional killer who has had enough of the killing – but does not succeed to get out. Although not really new, but always entertaining stuff of movies. Killer Blackbird (Mickey Rourke) loses his job at a little brother. Since then he pulls himself further and further behind and wants to get out. So he agrees to one last job. The extremely aggressive small gangster Richie (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) at his side, the killers, however, disturbed by Wayne (Thomas Jane) and his estranged wife Carmen (Diane Lane) in the implementation of the job. Thus, the quarreling couple gets himself on the hit list. Thanks to its witness protection program initiated hopes Wayne, again get through to his wife and to save the marriage. But that is all the harder to move closer to the couple’s killer on the fur. And while Blackbird reluctantly removed any obstacles, Richie is just crazy gun and would love to kill everyone. Killshot to first of all a pure-Action movies with more than usual of existing plot and really good actors. Boredom is not, the dialogue is smart and sharp and the chamber work by Caleb Deschanel (The stuff of which heroes are, The Passion of Christ) is terrific rough and gruff. The whole thing is with Thomas Jane (Punisher, The Mist), the said Rourke, Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Brick in grandiose) and Diane Lane occupied toll. But unfortunately the figure constellation is not fully utilized. Much that is superficial and not exhausted. Yes, you can also resolve conflicts with a ball instead of talking about it … But Killshot is therefore not a bad movie. Only a little more … Zest would have been nice. But no matter who would enjoy the challenge of a violent Action movies can be accessed here. (Renatus Töpke)
