               Family relationships, murder, psychopath, stepfather
Promptly to the start of the rather ambiguous recorded remakes, brings epix once the original The Stepfather out of 1986 in good quality. Unfortunately, any bonus material is missing, it has a good tone of the film uncut, a clean image and is felt – -.

Jerry Blacke (Terry O’Quinn) is a conservative outward-sympathetic family man, traditional values are the nuts and bolts, everything must be tidy, the Father calls the shots in the house. But Jerry has a dark secret: He is a psychopath who craves the perfect family behind. And so Jerry implanted again in families, in which missing husband, father, and plays. Until something does not fit him back into the stuff … And just today, Jerry is now free again and watch at once from the lone Susan (Shelley Hack), who lives with her daughter Stephanie (Jill Schoelen) in a nice house. But Stephanie felt discomfort in Jerry’s is so close and for this a serious threat.

The sometimes bumpy classics with the later Lost star Terry O’Quinn as murderous stepfather convinced, despite his age in almost every moment. Sudden outbreaks of violence, supercooled eyes and slowly spreading madness – this must be a psychopath thriller be. But the great opening scene, in which trims O’Quinn in the bathroom and then on the family massacred just outside goes in search of new victims – great! The Stepfather is a small, nasty satire on the average American citizen. And you should prefer the money for a ticket of the remake would rather invest in this DVD release.
