  At the age of 6 years, the native Pragerin first stood in front of the camera and was engaged very successfully as an actress in German and international productions.

Dana Vavrova completed your education from 1981 to 1985 at the Prague Conservatory. In Germany, she won several awards for her work. So she got in 1985, the Golden Camera and the Adolf Grimme Prize in Gold and in 1989 the German Film Award for her role in Joseph Vilsmaier Autumn Milk (film reel in gold) and the Bavarian Film Prize.

In addition to a large number of films like Milos Forman’s Amadeus (1984) she appeared in TV movies and TV series like Peter Lehner’s Confession (1996), Vivian Naefe Raus ins Leben (2002) with and made guest appearances on crime scenes, such as Melee (1997) and Undercover (2002 ).

Dana Vavrova who died in February 2009 at the age of 41 years to cancer, was married to the director Joseph Vilsmaier.
