Anno Saul – biography and filmography

  Born in 1963 in Bonn, director and author Anno Saul studied at the Munich School of Philosophy, before he was there from 1985 to 1990 studied at the Munich Academy for Television and Film, Department of feature film, dedicated.

In 1987 arose from his own screenplay, the BR-TV play Kidnapping for beginners. 1990 Saul turned his distinguished with the Max Ophüls Prize 15-minute Among Friends. In 1996, he realized in the framework of the ZDF television play his first feature film, and life starts tomorrow, followed the next year the old television game of love – old sin. In 1997, the choice of the Munich-based TV production turned Blind Date – Flirt with the consequences and the time for two.

1999 came with Green Desert Saul’s film debut in the movie houses. 2003 is able to pursue his film on television, the novice. Besides his work for film and television, the versatile film-maker presents his
skills as a documentary and advertising films demonstrate.

Kebab Connection (2004) was Anno Saul’s second film work. On the script for the fast-paced multi-cultural comedy with Hoku Ho, who was involved, inter alia, Fatih Akin.

2005 Anno Saul turned Where’s Fred? with Til Schweiger, Jürgen Vogel and Alexandra Maria Lara in the lead roles.
