Bachelor and Master degree programs are revolutionizing the time, the university landscape. That must mean not that it’s the fun on the track. Frieder Wittich has produced a student comedy, not a dry eye, yet can not degenerate into a farce. The start of the difficulties first-year students are addressed exactly as WG-Zoff, glittering parties, exam stress and misfortunes in love. A normal student life then?! 13 semester is a comedy about the academic elite of tomorrow (or, alternatively, would-be taxi drivers), which comes across very genuine. Beyond the idea that all make Studis only party and learning it pretty cushy, the film acknowledges the effect on some of the stereotypes. He shows that parties are well to the student life, but also self-doubt, pressure rating, and sometimes unbearable conditions of study. Massenunis of today make it difficult as an easy entry into a new social network, how can they be learning in general, to the almost insurmountable barricade. But “Momo” (Max Riemelt), who really would rather be called Moritz, has many clever tricks to get it get to but can not (although not want to always work). His best buddy, Dirk (Robert Gwisdek) is much more purposeful, unlike him, and throws him out and then logically from the study group, because Moritz is on his learning blocks of the famous block leg. This in turn leads to another, very unusual consortium, for Moritz attaches itself to the hard-working but boring Aswin (Amit Shah), who afterwards but then it turns out as quite amusing, and thus is a new men’s friendship was born. With his roommate Bernd (Alexander Fehling) Moritz, however, has not quite so lucky, and it will take a semester, up from the forced community is also a friendship. And then there are also the women in whom the clumsy Moritz has no great chances. His chosen means Kerstin (Claudia Eisinger), but still have quite a different fellow students in mind, so that no land in sight again for Moritz. 13 semester is hilarious without the absurd drift, the spirit of true thanks to the fast-paced staging, and shows the protagonist Momo aka Moritz, with all the doubts and moments of happiness, so does a student’s life just by itself. Most spectacular Moritz ‘semester abroad in Australia is implemented, which is accompanied only by means of photo collages, fast cut sequences and fast-paced music, and thus resembles an MTV clip. Moreover, his life is replaced in Down Under – depending on who he told it – ever new nuances and facets. Prior to his roommate, he is, for example, is as a womanizer, as he gives his professor, the brave and diligent student – is just subjective memory. There are many innovative and fun ideas in 13 semesters. Be it at the beginning of the drive from the home village in the Unistadt Darmstadt, which is already five miles to an abrupt end, the jump from Zehnmeterbrett ending for Momo in a corset (illustrated by a red-marked X-ray), or a chase by recumbent – one of the most hilarious around on our streets. The audience at this comedy is more than their money, their own studies, learn, repeat the experiences of the characters Momo and Co. and will not escape the feeling that the time everything was kind of just … (Silvy Pommerenke)
